Its debut at the 2013 Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Oostende, Belgium, was groundbreaking, setting a 300m world record and breaking the 24-second barrier for the first time. This achievement demonstrated that a wheel half a second per lap faster than the competition can dominate the podium. Since then, the Black Magic wheel has won countless world championships and podiums, becoming the most successful wheel in the sport.
At the 2018 Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Heerde, Holland, it secured more podium places than all other wheels combined.
